About Us

Bridging art and therapy for transformation

Jiu Jian is a certified Mindfulness Hypnotherapist (NGH & ICBCH), Transformational Life Coach, and Yoga Teacher, whose integrative approach to healing blends emotional insight, creative embodiment, and subconscious integration.
With a strong focus on emotional health, talk therapy, and mind-body practices, he supports clients in transforming stress, trauma, and emotional stagnation into clarity and resilience.

His journey began as a singer-songwriter, winning the Best Song Award at 19 and launching a music career that would later earn him the Meritorious Award from COMPASS in 2013, making him the youngest and first recipient in the Mandarin pop category.
From 1993 to 2003, he worked in professional radio broadcasting with Rediffusion, SAFRA Radio FM88.3, and NTUC Radio Heart FM100.3, where he hosted heart-to-heart talk shows in collaboration with local counselling centers.
He is also the author of two books — Emotional Diary 心情日记 and The Next Song 下一首歌 — both chronicling emotional journeys of his listeners and his own healing path. Jiu Jian was also contribution author to another two literary publication - 作家鸡汤 Writer Chicken Soup, poems and positive quotes with 120 local Mandarin authors and Singapore Soundscape - Musical Renaissance of a Global City, a documentation of Singapore music scene from 18th to 21st century, published by Singapore National Library.

Since 2009, Jiu Jian has extended his artistry into creative education and social healing, supporting the Yellow Ribbon Project a statutory board under the Ministry of Home Affairs through ,being panel of judges for the Song writing and Singing competition for the inmates , motivational talks and performances within correctional institutions, and contributing to more than 30 Arts Education Program (AEP) across schools and special needs institutions — using music, mindfulness, and storytelling to cultivate emotional awareness in youth.

However, behind the spotlight, Jiu Jian faced deep emotional challenges rooted in childhood and adolescent trauma, which led to emotional struggles during his military service and eventually a diagnosis of severe depression at age 32.
It was during those darkest years that he began his journey inward — rediscovering healing through music, spirituality, meditation, and self-awareness.
These experiences became the foundation for his lifelong work in helping others heal through awareness and sound.

From Stage to Sanctuary

Jiu Jian’s Mindfulness Vocal & Healing Sanctuary founded by Jiu Jian since 2019 is a calm, heart-centered space in Singapore — where voice meets awareness, and where healing begins with sound.
Here, he combines mindfulness-based vocal practices, clinical hypnotherapy, and somatic awareness techniques to help clients release stress, restore balance, and reconnect with inner peace.

As an Associate Therapist at Amity Therapy, Jiu Jian also offers professional hypnotherapy sessions within a clinical environment — allowing clients to choose between a private home-studio setting or a clinical space based on their comfort and needs.

Philosophy & Vision

Healing is not about perfection — it’s about presence.
Through mindful awareness of the body, breath, and sound, we learn to embrace our emotions and transform pain into wisdom.
At Jiu Jian’s Mindfulness Vocal & Healing Sanctuary, every voice becomes a bridge between self-expression and self-healing.

Let healing begin with the sound.

I have been with Jiu Jian's Mindful Singing class for 2 years. Always wanted to find a singing teacher and I am glad that I finally found one.

I have always had problems with my high notes but with Jiu Jian's unique coaching, i finally can find my range.

His style is very different from most singing teachers i know. Besides just singing he would explained to Mindful. So singing mindfully makes the lessons so much more interesting.

I look forward to each class as he shows me how to relax and then sing with a purpose. The experience is almost heavenly. you hv to experience it one your own.

I really appreciate your quiet confidence and fierce kindness. There is a lot of grace in how you carry yourself, and how you see and treat the world. I learn by watching the best. Thank you for first seeing something in me.
